Suzanne Biaggi

Suzanne Biaggi

Suzanne Biaggi is a sculptor, landscape architect and trained in permaculture design. “Ecology of Place” created in 2013, is her second installation at Cornerstone. Her first, “Future Feast in the Garden of Flow/Accumulation” was one of thirteen gardens on dis-play over a three day garden show in the fall of 2010. This earlier work took the presti-gious California Home and Design award in 2011.

The creative force behind S. Biaggi/sculptural landscapes, Biaggi brings together a unique combination of artist and environmentalist. She opened her landscape design studio in 1984 as a design/build practice, which slowly evolved into a design/project management studio. In 1995 she began to incorporate monumental stone sculptures into her gardens, sometimes accompanied by water in an exploration of solid and liquid as artistic media. In 2008 she attended the Bioneers Conference which changed her way of thinking and in 2010 she became certified in Permaculture Design.
