Beating the
Blood Sugar
Blues

Greetings,

Today, I wanted to talk about hypoglycemia or low blood sugar and how to treat it. Low blood sugar occurs when your blood glucose drops below 70mg/dl. When this happens your body does not get the energy it needs. It can be dangerous because if it falls too low, you can faint and become unconscious. In order to avoid it you should know: how to check your blood sugar using your glucometer, how and when your medications work, when to eat, and how to exercise safely. Remember, the goal blood glucose range is 70-130ml/dl before meals and 180 mg/dl 2 hours after the first bite of a meal.
